Good Stewards of your Dollars

The Houston Area Women's Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, is proud to report that for every dollar we raise, approximately 86.1 cents funds services to clients and educational outreach, with the remaining 12 cents covering management and fundraising costs.

The Houston Better Business Bureau recommends that charities spend at least 65 cents of expenses on services. Our fiscal responsibility has led Charity Navigator, a nationally-recognized evaluator of philanthropic causes, to again bestow us with a three star rating. Donor Privacy Policy

The Houston Area Women’s Center places the highest priority on protecting the privacy of our donors and holds all donor information in strict confidence. All employees and members of the Board of Trustees sign a confidentiality statement attesting to the confidentiality of the records.

The Houston Area Women’s Center does not and will not sell, rent or trade a donor’s personal information to any other entity, nor send mailings on behalf of other organizations.
