We will be distributing new backpacks and school supplies to the children receiving services at the Houston Area Women’s Center. These are children who have experienced sexual abuse and exploitation, domestic violence and/or were witnesses to such crimes. These children have been through some difficult times. We want to help them to feel good about themselves by sending them back to school with new backpacks and appropriate supplies, just like all the other kids.
To volunteer, please contact Gwyndlen Holt at 713-528-6798, ext. 2298 or gholt@hawc.org.
