Join us on May 14 for a lively evening of good company and good laughs for a great cause. The Spring Benefit, LOL with LILY TOMLIN, promises to be a memorable event with lots of LOL (laughing out loud) with legendary comedienne and actress, Lily Tomlin. She’s got a Grammy, two Tonys, two Peabodys, six Emmys and most recently the 2003 Mark Twain Prize for American humor. In an amazing career that spans over 40 years, Tomlin brings to our intimate stage a lifetime of insight and countless characters she developed throughout the years. From her run on the 1970’s hit Laugh-In, who can forget the snarky telephone operator, Ernestine, or the precocious kindergartner, Edith Ann, rocking away and telling the truth. Over the years, she has added many more personages who now travel with her, including Sister Boogie Woman, a 77 year old blues singer and Crystal, a hang-gliding quadriplegic. Currently on tour, she is wowing the nation with her nostalgic and provocative comedy.

This lively evening will bring together a broad business and social audience to support the Houston Area Women’s Center, the only residential shelter in Houston for victims of domestic and sexual violence. We are excited to share this event to support our mission and hope you will join us for a feel-good and do-good evening.
