2010 Leadership Signature Campaign

Special Campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

To highlight October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Houston Chronicle will publish, for the seventh year, a full page ad containing a pledge to end domestic violence. The pledge will bear the signatures of prominent community leaders who are proclaiming their support by joining our 2010 Leadership Signature Campaign.

We ask that you join us in this effort and show your support by making a $1,000 contribution to the Houston Area Women’s Center. Please complete the following commitment form, including your signature as you would like it to appear in the Chronicle, and return it to us before October 5. The ad will show your signature, printed name, and position as you designate it on the form. It is a powerful message showing your community, your colleagues and your constituents that you are a leader in the effort to end domestic violence.

Your renewed commitment is needed now more than ever. Since 2008, there has been a tremendous increase in demand for services and your gift will certainly help us continue to meet those needs. The Houston Area Women’s Center is about offering a safe haven, giving support when it’s most needed, and working hard every day to stop the violence before it starts.
